4 Day Adelaide, Barossa Valley and Kangaroo Island

Day 1. Arrive Adelaide.
Arrive at Adelaide airport, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to discover the highlights of the city, home to many wonderful parks and churches.
Two Night Stay: Adelaide (room only) Mercure Grosvenor (Standard), Holiday Inn Adelaide (First-Class), Sebel Playford (Boutique).

Day 2. Barossa Valley Wineries, Tastings. (L)
Head north of the city into the Barossa Valley, one of Australia's most celebrated wine districts with a unique European style heritage and some of South Australia's most picturesque landscapes. Enjoy a scenic tour through the spectacular Torrens Gorge and Kangaroo Creek. Discover the acoustic secrets of the Whispering Wall. There will be many photo opportunities from the Mengler's Hill Lookout. Visit the Wolf Blass Estate for a tasting and tour. Enjoy tastings of the Barossa's famous wines at premium vineyards and then indulge in a delicious lunch, matched with wines from the region.

Day 3. Sea Lions, Kangaroos, Koalas, Birdlife. (L)
Arrive at Kangaroo Island airport by 9.55 a.m. where you will be met by your guide for an island introduction then begin your exploration of the island by heading out for wildlife encounters. Travel out to spot kangaroos, koalas and echidnas. At spectacular Seal Bay, your guide will escort you on a memorable walk along the beach, which is home to a colony of Australian sea lions. Watch as the sea lions bask on the shoreline or waddle up the beach to rest in the sand dunes. Hear these fascinating large mammals interact with each other and watch them at play. Enter our own Heritage listed natural bush property, see unique flora, birdlife, koalas and kangaroos in the wild and maybe even spot the elusive echidna. Enjoy a delicious gourmet picnic lunch with wines in this idyllic environment.

Day 4. Flinders Chase, Koalas, Fur Seals. (L)
Today we discover Flinders Chase National Park. See at close range some of the 10,000 New Zealand fur seals in their colony at Cape du Couedic. View the unique geological formation of Admirals Arch, a spectacular archway formed by the sea. Enjoy time to wander amid the delicately balanced granite domes of the Remarkable Rocks, the result of more than 500 million years of weather erosion. After lunch, we journey into the Rocky River region. By special permit, enter the beautiful Kelly Hill Conservation Park. In the late afternoon, watch as wild kangaroos and Tammar wallabies move out to graze on the open plains. Your tour concludes in time for the 6.35 p.m. flight to Adelaide arriving at 7.05 p.m.
