Day 1 - Darwin to Kakadu
We view wildlife at the Mary River Wetlands on a crocodile and wildlife cruise. After lunch, we visit Bowali Visitor Centre and spend the rest of the afternoon exploring Ubirr Rock where the Aboriginal rock art dates back an estimated 20,000 years. Overnight camp in Kakadu National Park. (LD)

Day 2 - Kakadu to Darwin
Our first stop is the awesome Jim Jim Falls located deep within striking escarpment country, where we walk to the base of the falls, enjoying the tranquillity of this beautiful area. After lunch, we head to Twin Falls - Here we join a National Park operated boat and boardwalk experience up the stunning gorge to the waterfall where you can relax on the sandy bank before travelling back to Darwin. 2 day Ubirr, Jim Jim, Twin Falls Safari - Begins 1st April 2007

Day 1 – Darwin to Kakadu
Turning off the Stuart Highway, we travel along the Arnhem Highway passing the major river systems and wetland regions into Kakadu National Park. After crossing the South Alligator River we begin to explore the World Heritage Area of Ubirr Rock where we climb up through the ancient Aboriginal rock art galleries to the lookout for the famous view over surrounding wetlands. We then join Kakadu’s fabled Yellow Waters Wetland Cruise to experience the beauty of the Kakadu wetlands. Overnight Cooinda.

Day 2 – Jim Jim and Twin Falls - 4WD Adventure
Today in the Jim Jim Falls Gorge area we bushwalk through the monsoon forest. Then a 4WD drive to Twin Falls Gorge, where we take a short cruise and walk along the floating boardwalk to the base of the Falls. Late afternoon return to visit the Bowali Visitor Centre prior to returning to Darwin, arriving at approximately 8.00pm. (L)

3 Day 4WD Kakadu Litchfield Safari

Day 1 - Darwin to Mary River
See the falls of Litchfield National Park before heading to the spectacular Mary River Wetlands, home to a vast array of bird life. This afternoon look for ‘crocs’ and other abundant wildlife on our private river cruise. Arrive at Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge for dinner and overnight camp. (LD)

Day 2 - Mary River to Kakadu
Our first stop is Ubirr where we discover ancient Aboriginal rock art and climb to enjoy picturesque views. We continue on to Maguk (Barramundi Gorge), where we hike to the plunge pools for a refreshing dip. Stay overnight at our permanent camp within Kakadu NP. (BLD)

Day 3 - Kakadu to Darwin
This morning we 4WD into the awesome Jim Jim Falls, hiking to the base of the falls then continue on to Twin Falls. Here we join a National Park operated boat and boardwalk experience up the stunning gorge to the waterfall and sandy bank. In the afternoon we return to Darwin, enjoying the impressive scenery along the way. (BL)

3 Day Arnhem Land & Yellow Water Experience - Begins 1st April 2007

Day 1 – Darwin to Kakadu
This morning we travel along the Arnhem Highway into Kakadu National Park. Stop at Nourlangie Rock, where your Guide will lead a walk to view ancient Aboriginal rock art. After lunch (at own expense) we join our local guide for a cruise on Yellow Water Billabong. Enjoy spectacular scenes of paperbark swamps, water lilies, bird life and you may be lucky enough to spot a saltwater crocodile. We make a visit to the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre. Accommodation: Gagadju Crocodile Holiday Inn or Safari Tent.

Day 2 – Jim Jim and Twin Falls - 4WD Adventure
Watch the sun rise over Kakadu as we travel deep into Kakadu to Jim Jim Falls Gorge. A short bushwalk and climb through monsoon forest will take us to the spectacular Gorge, where you may take a refreshing swim. Then a short drive to Twin Falls Gorge, where we cruise to the base of the falls. Late afternoon return to Jabiru. (L) Accommodation: Aurora Kakadu or Safari Tent.

Day 3 – Arnhem Land – 4WD Adventure
No trip to the 'Top End' is complete without a visit to Arnhem Land. Arnhem Land was handed over to the Aboriginal people over 50 years ago. We use the services of one of the privileged companies to be granted access to this area by the Traditional Owners (Lords Kakadu & Arnhem Land safaris). And they are the only tour company with access to the heart of Minkinj Valley. Visit the Bowali Visitor Centre prior to returning to Darwin. (L)

5 Day Top End Safari

Day 1 - Darwin to Mary River

We start the day at Gunlom Falls, climbing to the top of the falls for stunning views before heading to Edith Falls, where we take a dip. We arrive at our permanent campsite near Katherine Gorge in the late afternoon. (BLD)

Day 5 - Katherine Gorge to Adelaide River
We spend half a day canoeing or cruising (at own expense) the spectacular Katherine Gorge. After lunch, relax in the clear waters of Douglas or Katherine Hot Springs (seasonal) before returning to Darwin. (BL)

6 Day Darwin to Alice Springs incl Uluru

Day 1 - Darwin to Katherine Gorge
After departing Darwin, we take a look at the Adelaide River WWII War Cemetery before spending the afternoon either canoeing or cruising (at own expense) the striking Katherine (Nitmiluk) Gorge. We stay overnight in our permanent campsite. (LD)

Day 2 - Katherine Gorge to Tennant Creek
Relax in Mataranka’s crystal clear thermal pools then experience the famous Outback pub at Daly Waters,the oldest in the Northern Territory. After lunch, we travel south to Tennant Creek for our overnight camp at Juno Horse Farm. (BLD)

Day 3 - Tennant Creek to Alice Springs
This morning we visit th epicturesque Mary Ann Dam in the Honeymoon Ranges before exploring the mysterious foundations of the Devils Marbles. We continue on to Alice Springs for our overnight dorm accommodation (upgrade to motel accommodation is available at own expense). (BL)

Day 4 - Alice Springs to Uluru
We call in at the Outback Camel Farm, where you have the chance to go for a camel ride(at own expense), before continuing on to Uluru (Ayers Rock) while enjoying the sights of the ancient Hugh and Finke River systems and Mt Connor along the way. After lunch, we set off to hike the spectacular Valley of the Winds in Kata Tjuta (Olgas) then return to watch the sun set over Uluru with a glass of sparkling wine. Curl up for the night in the tents at our permanent camp site or view the brilliance of the outback night sky while sleeping in an authentic Aussie bedroll (swag). (LD)

Day 5 - Uluru to Kings Canyon
It’s an early start for one of the highlights of the tour; the Uluru sunrise. Enjoy a walk around the base exploring the mysterious rock formations and Aboriginal art sites or choose to climb Uluru. We visit the Cultural Centre and enjoy lunch before heading to Kings Canyon for our overnight camp. (BLD)

Day 6 - Kings Canyon to Alice Springs
Climb and explore spectacular Kings Canyon, view the ;Amphitheatre;The Lost City & the picturesque Garden of Eden; and the breathtaking North and South Walls. After lunch, we return to Alice Springs viewing the rugged desert scenery along the way. (BL)

9 Day 4WD Darwin to Broome- Begins from 1st April 2007

ATTENTION: This tour is only for fit and active people, who can hike 5-9kms a day over uneven terrain, often in high temperatures. Temperatures can be extreme i.e. very high during summer days and very cold during winter nights. Operator reserves the right to assess the fitness capability of passengers prior to tour departure. Tour is not suitable for children. Due to the remote nature of the Kimberley region we use bush camps with limited facilities on some nights. There is a STRICT LUGGAGE LIMIT of 15kgs per person, in a backpack or soft bag.

Day 1 - Darwin to Victoria River
We begin our adventure travelling south down "The Track" (Stuart Hwy) to Edith Falls where we break for a refreshing swim and some time to get to know each other. Travelling further south we have a short stop at Katherine Gorge before heading west towards the Western Australian wilderness. We set up camp beside the Victoria River for our first night together. Day 2 - Victoria River to Kununurra
Up early this morning as we cross the border into Western Australia. We visit the largest man made lake in Australia - Lake Argyle and explore the area before heading for the capital of the north - Kununurra and our overnight campsite. (BLD) (CP)

Day 3 - Kununurra to the Bungle Bungles
Explore Kununurra, the town of the Ord River Scheme and the scenic Hidden Valley National Park. Then sit back and admire the awesome views of the Carr Boyd and Durack Ranges as we head to Turkey Creek. Next it’s time to buckle up and hold on for the challenging 4WD trip into the Bungle Bungle (Purnululu) National Park for sunset over the Osmond Ranges and our camp. (BLD) (C)

Day 4 - Bungle Bungle NP
We spend the full day exploring the unusual rock formations of the Bungle Bungle Ranges, visiting the unique Frog Hole, the breathtaking Echidna Chasm, and the magnificent Cathedral Gorge. There's also time for an optional scenic helicopter flight (at own expense) over the Bungles. We complete our day with another amazing sunset. (BLD) (C)

Day 5 - Bungle Bungle NP to Parry Farm
Leaving the Bungle Bungle NP we take a short break at Turkey Creek before travelling onto Wyndham and the Five Rivers Lookout. Overnight camp at Diggers Rest Cattle Station or Parry Farm. (BLD) (C).

Day 6 - Gibb River Road & Gorges
We tackle the punishing Gibb River Road stopping to visit the famous El Questro Station, take a walk in the beautiful Cockburn Range and swim under the waterfall in Emma Gorge. We cross the Pentecost River and travel through the spectacular ranges before heading to our overnight bush camp. (BLD) (C)

Day 7 - Gibb River Road & Gorges
A day of swimming and hiking as we explore some of these striking gorges: Barnett, Manning, Galvins, or Adcock, depending on the time of year. Overnight bush camp. (BLD) (C)

Day 8 - King Leopold Range - Windjana Gorge
We enjoy an early hike and swim at Bell or Leonard Gorge before experiencing the splendour of the King Leopold Range travelling to Windjana Gorge. After lunch, we wade through the icy waters of the mysterious Tunnel Creek to explore the incredible limestone formations. We camp overnight at Windjana Gorge National Park. (BLD) (C)

Day 9 - Windjana Gorge to Broome
We view the abundant wildlife of Windjana Gorge including freshwater crocodiles and explore the 350 million year old fossilised reef wall rising 90 metres above the riverbed. Then we head for Derby, visiting the famous Boab Prison Tree before continuing on to Broome for sunset on beautiful Cable Beach. (BL)

A day free to relax and enjoy the tropical city of Darwin. Take a look at the Museum, try fish feeding at Doctors Gully or visit the Indo-Pacific Marine (day at own expense). Overnight in Motel. (No meals)

Day 5 - Darwin to Katherine Gorge
After departing Darwin, we take a look at the Adelaide River WWII War Cemetery before spending the afternoon either canoeing or cruising (at own expense) the striking Katherine (Nitmiluk) Gorge. We stay overnight in our permanent campsite. (LD)

Day 6 - Mataranka to Tennant Creek
Relax in Mataranka’s crystal clear thermal pools then experience the famous Outback Aussie pub at Daly Waters. After lunch, travel south to Tennant Creek for our overnight camp at Juno Horse Farm. (BLD)

Day 7 - Devils Marbles to Alice Springs
We tour the Battery Stamp Gold Mine at Tennant Creek then explore the mysterious formations of the Devils Marbles before leaving for Alice Springs, where we stay overnight at Melanka Lodge Motel. (BL)

Day 8 - Alice Spring - Kata Tjuta -Uluru
We travel to the Outback Camel Farm for an optional camel ride (at own expense). Then we enjoy the sights of the ancient Hugh and Finke River systems, Mt Connor and the unique scenery on our journey on to Uluru (Ayers Rock). After lunch at Yulara, we explore the Valley of the Winds in the majestic Kata Tjuta (Olgas) then return to enjoy champagne with the sun setting over Uluru. Camp at our permanent campsite in tents or view the brilliance of the outback night sky while sleeping in an authentic Aussie bedroll (swag). (LD)

Day 9 - Uluru to Kings Canyon
Up before sunrise for a base walk at Uluru to explore the mysterious rock formations and Aboriginal art sites or choose to climb. Visit the Cultural Centre for a greater insight into Aboriginal art and beliefs. After lunch we head to Kings Canyon for our overnight camp. (BLD)

Day 10 - Kings Canyon to Alice Springs
Climb and explore spectacular Kings Canyon, view the ’Amphitheatre’, ’The Lost City’, the picturesque ’Garden of Eden’ and the breathtaking North and South Walls, then enjoy a refreshing dip in the waterhole (summer only). Day 9 - Alice Springs to Kings Canyon
Travel from Alice Springs to Kings Canyon, where we climb and explore the Canyon viewing the impressive formations of the ’Amphitheatre’, ’The Lost City’, the picturesque ’Garden of Eden’ and the breathtaking North and South Walls before heading to our permanent campsite for some great camp oven cooking. Day 10 - Kings Canyon to Uluru
Depart Kings Canyon heading for Uluru (Ayers Rock). After lunch, hike the spectacular ’Valley of the Winds’ in Kata Tjuta (The Olgas). Head to a secluded viewing area to enjoy champagne while watching the desert sun set over Uluru before tucking into a hearty dinner. Overnight Yulara permanent campsite. (BLD)

Day 11 - Uluru to Coober Pedy
An early start for one of the highlights of the tour - the Uluru sunrise. Enjoy a walk around the base exploring its mysterious rock formations and Aboriginal art sites and watching the changing light on the desert or choose to climb. Visit the Cultural Centre to view and purchase Aboriginal arts and crafts. After lunch, continue on to Coober Pedy. Overnight underground bunkhouse Coober Pedy. Day 12 - Coober Pedy to Rawnsley Park
Enjoy a morning town and mine tour with an opal cutting demonstration followed by the chance to go opal fossicking (time permitting). Then we head down the Stuart Highway on our way to the spectacular sheep station of Rawnsley Park where we overnight in dorm accommodation. (BLD)

Day 13 - Wilpena Pound to Parachilna
An early start to the day for the challenging climb of Mt Ohlssen-Bagge. Be rewarded with fantastic views of Wilpena Pound, the Ranges, desert and Lake Torrens. In the late afternoon we travel onto Parachilna for sunset and our overnight dorm accommodation. (BLD)

Day 14 - Parachilna to Adelaide
This morning we take a short walk to view rock art at Yourambulla Caves then visit the ruins of Kanyaka Homestead. We take a break in the beautiful Clare Valley before continuing on to Adelaide, arriving in the late evening. (BL)

18 Day Darwin to Melbourne

Day 1 - Darwin to Mary River
See the falls of Litchfield National Park before arriving at the Mary River Wetlands. This afternoon look for ’crocs’ and other wildlife on our private river cruise. Arrive at Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge for dinner and overnight camp. (LD)

Day 2 - Mary River to Kakadu
We call in at Mamukala Wetlands then head to the awesome Jim Jim Falls to take a walk to the base of the falls before continuing on to Twin Falls. Here we join a National Park operated boat and boardwalk experience up the stunning gorge to the waterfall where you can relax on the sandy bank. We drive on to Kakadu for dinner and our overnight camp. (BLD)

Day 3 - Kakadu to Darwin
Our first stop is Ubirr where we discover ancient Aboriginal rock art. We continue our journey to Maguk (Barramundi Gorge), where we do some hiking and enjoy a refreshing dip in the plunge pools. We then return to Darwin, enjoying the impressive scenery along the way. Overnight dorm accommodation included. (BL)

Day 4 - Darwin to Katherine Gorge
After departing Darwin, we take a look at the Adelaide River WWII War Cemetery before spending the afternoon either canoeing or cruising (at own expense) the striking Katherine (Nitmiluk) Gorge. Overnight in our permanent campsite. (LD)

Day 5 - Mataranka to Tennant Creek
Relax in Mataranka’s crystal clear thermal pools then experience the famous Outback Aussie pub at Daly Waters. After lunch, travel south to Tennant Creek for our overnight camp at Juno Horse Farm. (BLD)

Day 6 - Devils Marbles to Alice Springs
Visit the Battery Stamp Mine at Tennant Creek for a gold mine tour then explore the mysterious formations of the Devils Marbles before leaving for Alice Springs. Overnight dorm accommodation (upgrade to motel at own expense). (BL)

Day 16 - Adelaide to Grampians NP
An early start this morning, driving through the picturesque Adelaide Hills, crossing the mighty Murray River, passing through South Australian country towns to today's destination, the magnificent Grampians National Park. We spend the afternoon hiking at Hollow Mountain & the amazing MacKenzie Falls, finishing the day with breathtaking sunset views from The Balconies and Reeds Lookout. Overnight is at Halls Gap, in the 'Heart of the Grampians'. (D)

Day 17 - Grampians NP via the Great Ocean Rd to Princetown
Start the morning with a challenging hike to the 'Pinnacle', exploring the natural wonders and breathtaking views this national park has to offer. We visit Brambuks Aboriginal Cultural Centre before heading south to the coast & Warrnambool for a chance to view whales (seasonal). The renowned Great Ocean Road beckons for us to explore its beauty. You will see the Bay of Islands, Bay of Martyrs, The Grotto, London Bridge and Loch Ard Gorge before enjoying sunset over the Twelve Apostles. Stay overnight in the townshipof Princetown. (B,D))

Day 18 - Princetown to Melbourne
This morning we enjoy an early sunrise at the Twelve Apostles before making our way down Gibson Steps to the beach for a different perspective of these amazing formations. Next up we spend time at the awesome Otway Fly, (a 25 meter high elevated tree top walk). Continuing on we pass through the magnificent cool temperate rain forests of the Otway National Park, onto the coastal towns of Apollo Bay and Lorne, exploring the pristine beaches & gorges. We make our way via the world famous Bells Beach to Torquay (home of Quicksilver and Rip Curl) after clearing the shops of bargains we head to the our final destination of Melbourne. (B)

21 Day Darwin to Perth Safari- Begins from the 1st April 2007

ATTENTION: This tour is only for fit and active people, who can hike 5-9kms a day over uneven terrain, often in high temperatures. Temperatures can be extreme i.e. very high during summer days and very cold during winter nights. Operator reserves the right to assess the fitness capability of passengers prior to tour departure. Tour is not suitable for children. Due to the remote nature of the Kimberley region we use bush camps with limited facilities on some nights. There is a STRICT LUGGAGE LIMIT of 15kgs per person, in a backpack or soft bag.

Day 1 - Darwin to Victoria River
We begin our adventure travelling south down "The Track" (Stuart Hwy) to Edith Falls where we break for a refreshing swim and some time to get to know each other. Travelling further south we have a short stop at Katherine Gorge before heading west towards the Western Australian wilderness. We set up camp beside the Victoria River for our first night together. Day 2 - Victoria River to Kununurra
Up early this morning as we cross the border into Western Australia. We visit the largest man made lake in Australia - Lake Argyle and explore the area before heading for the capital of the north - Kununurra and our overnight campsite. (BLD) (CP)

Day 3 - Kununurra to the Bungle Bungles
Explore Kununurra, the town of the Ord River Scheme and the scenic Hidden Valley National Park. Then sit back and admire the awesome views of the Carr Boyd and Durack Ranges as we head to Turkey Creek. Next it's time to buckle up and hold on for the challenging 4WD trip into the Bungle Bungle (Purnululu) National Park for sunset over the Osmond Ranges and our camp. (BLD) (C)

Day 4 - Bungle Bungle NP
We spend the full day exploring the unusual rock formations of the Bungle Bungle Ranges, visiting the unique Frog Hole, the breathtaking Echidna Chasm, and the magnificent Cathedral Gorge. There’s also time for an optional scenic helicopter flight (at own expense) over the Bungles. We complete our day with another amazing sunset. (BLD) (C)

Day 5 - Bungle Bungle NP to Parry Farm
Leaving the Bungle Bungle NP we take a short break at Turkey Creek before travelling onto Wyndham and the Five Rivers Lookout. Overnight camp at Diggers Rest Cattle Station or Parry Farm. (BLD) (C).

Day 6 - Gibb River Road & Gorges
We tackle the punishing Gibb River Road stopping to visit the famous El Questro Station, take a walk in the beautiful Cockburn Range and swim under the waterfall in Emma Gorge. We cross the Pentecost River and travel through the spectacular ranges before heading to our overnight bush camp. (BLD) (C)

Day 7 - Gibb River Road & Gorges
A day of swimming and hiking as we explore some of these striking gorges: Barnett, Manning, Galvins, or Adcock, depending on the time of year. Overnight bush camp. (BLD) (C)

Day 8 - King Leopold Range - Windjana Gorge
We enjoy an early hike and swim at Bell or Leonard Gorge before experiencing the splendour of the King Leopold Range travelling to Windjana Gorge. After lunch, we wade through the icy waters of the mysterious Tunnel Creek to explore the incredible limestone formations. We camp overnight at Windjana Gorge National Park. (BLD)(C)

Day 9 - Windjana Gorge to Broome (H)
We view the abundant wildlife of Windjana Gorge including freshwater crocodiles and explore the 350 million year old fossilised reef wall rising 90 metres above the riverbed. Then we head for Derby, visiting the famous Boab Prison Tree before continuing on to Broome for sunset on beautiful Cable Beach. (BL) *Three nights multi-share accommodation is included. Passengers may prefer to upgrade to ensuite twin/double/single (at extra cost).

Day 10 & 11 - Broome
Two days of leisure in this historic northern pearling town. There is plenty to see and do in Broome, time to just relax or laze on the beach in idyllic weather conditions on the famous Cable Beach or view some of the old Pearling Luggers. We start our time here with a town tour to show you the sights. (B) (H)

Day 12 - Broome to Indee Station
Departing Broome we cross the Great Sandy Desert, calling in at the coastal oasis of Eighty Mile Beach where we may have time for a quick swim in the turquoise water and a chance to collect some unique seashells. We travel further south through Port Hedland checking out the enormous piles of iron ore and salt, before setting up camp at a remote sheep and cattle property, Indee Station. Tonight, sample some traditional Aussie damper baked in the hot coals of our campfire. (BLD) (BC)

Day 13 - Indee Station to Karijini NP
This morning we make our way to the remote but spectacular Karijini National Park where we spend the next three days exploring the ancient gorges and swimming in emerald coloured rock pools. We begin our Karijini experience with a visit to the Karijini Cultural Centre before heading for Fortesque Falls where you will be rewarded with a refreshing swim. Overnight camp in Karijini. Days 14 & 15 - Karijini NP
The next two days are spent exploring, swimming and relaxing in the magnificent Karijini gorges. One of the oldest landscapes on earth - the region will amaze you. We will explore a number of gorges including Weano Gorge, Handrail Pool, Oxers Lookout, Hancock Gorge and Hamersley Gorge amongst others. Overnight camp in Karijini. (BLD) (C)

Day 16 - Karijini NP to Exmouth
Leaving Karijini, we call in at the unique mining town of Tom Price before travelling through the vast bush land and station country of the Pilbara region on our way to Exmouth and our accommodation. (BLD) (H)

Day 17 - Exmouth
This morning we explore the Cape Range National Park. Take a dip or relax on the beach at picturesque Turquoise Bay and hike around the vertical red rock walls of the gorge for stunning views at Yardie Creek. (BLD) (H)

Day 18 - Exmouth to Coral Bay & Warroora Station
Spend the entire day snorkelling the famous Ningaloo Reef accessible from Coral Bay's white sandy beach. Alternatively, you can choose one of the many optional activities including quad biking, coral viewing cruises and scuba diving (at own expense). (BLD) (SS)

Day 19 - Coral Bay to Monkey Mia
Heading south we cross the Tropic of Capricorn and pass through the banana growing town of Carnarvon. We call in at unique Shell Beach before continuing on to Monkey Mia - famous for the wild dolphins that visit the beach daily. (BLD) (H)

Day 20 - Monkey Mia to Kalbarri
Time this morning to visit with the dolphins before exploring some of the Shark Bay World Heritage area. We stop to view the stromatolites - the oldest living organisms in the world - before heading south for Kalbarri. Time permitting we will be able to view the Murchison Gorge and Natures Window this afternoon before arriving in this seaside resort town. (BLD) (H)

Day 21 - Kalbarri NP to Perth
Departing via the coastal gorges of the Kalbarri National Park, we head to the picturesque seaside town of Dongara before travelling south through the fascinating landscape of the Nambung National Park and checking out the famous Pinnacles. Then we make our way to Perth arriving in the early evening. (BL)
