Day 1 - Arrive Auckland
Welcome to Auckland. This afternoon we suggest a city sightseeing tour.

Day 2 - Auckland/Bay Of Islands
(149 miles) (optional meal plans begin today) Cross the Auckland Harbour Bridge and travel north to the beautiful Bay of Islands. Arrive in Paihia and enjoy a guided visit to the historic Waitangi Treaty Grounds. Enjoy the rest of day at leisure.

Day 3 - Bay Of Islands
A day to enjoy the many leisure activities available – perhaps an optional day excursion to Cape Reinga, deep sea fishing or a visit to historic Russell or Kerikeri.

Day 4 - Bay Of Islands/Auckland
(149 miles) Cruise to Cape Brett and the ‘Hole in the Rock’. Return to Auckland.

Day 5 - Auckland/Waitomo/Rotorua
(226 miles) (lunch and dinner included) Travel to the fascinating Waitomo Caves where you will enjoy lunch and a guided tour of the famous Glowworm Grotto and an underground boat ride. Continue on via Lake Karapiro to arrive in Rotorua. In the evening enjoy a unique Maori Hangi (feast) and Concert.

Day 6 - Rotorua Sightseeeing
Today visit Rotorua's leading attractions and experience the scenic beauty, history and culture of Rotorua on a full day Great Sights sightseeing tour. Highlights include Te Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve, Te Puia, Rainbow Springs Nature Park, New Zealand Farm Show, free leisure time to shop and have lunch, Buried Village and Rotorua Museum.

Day 7 - Rotorua /Queenstown
(airfare not included) Fly to Queenstown, New Zealand’s adventure capital, where you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of your day is to enjoy at leisure.

Day 8 - Milford Sound Excursion
Travel with Great Sights along the shores of Lake Wakatipu to Te Anau, gateway to the Fiordland National Park. From the Homer Tunnel emerge into the Cleddau Valley. Join your Milford Sound Red Boat Cruise for an unforgettable experience, and explore the wonder of this majestic fiord before returning to Queenstown.

Day 9 - Queenstown
A free day to enjoy the many adventure activities on offer. Staff at ‘The Station Information Centre’ can assist with information.

Day 10 - Queenstown/ Christchurch
(369 miles) Today’s journey takes you through some of New Zealand’s most dramatic landscapes. Arrive in the ‘Garden City’ of Christchurch early evening.
