Guided Mini Break Walking Tours

Kerry Guided Mini Break

Day 1 Arrive at Sneem. Short walk in the Parknasilla area. Evening meal at Sneem where we spend the first 2 nights.

Day 2 Walk to the spectacular Staigue Fort. Breath-taking views to the south over the Kenmare Bay to the Beara Peninsula and west towards Derrynane.

Day 3 Leaving Sneem we start our walk from the historic Derrynane House - famed as the home of Daniel O'Connell, The Liberator. We explore the National Park and Abbey Island and enjoy great coastal vistas towards Scariff Island and the Skellig Rock. Evening meal and overnight accommodation in Cahersiveen, where we spend the next two nights.

Day 4 Walk on Valentia Island to Bray Head, with magnificent views of the Skelligs and the rocky coastline near Portmagee.

Day 5 Walk near Glenbeigh around the base of Seefin on the Kerry Way, with views of Rossbeigh Strand, Dingle Bay and Caragh Lake. Departures

Burren and Aran Islands Mini Break


Day 1 Arrive in Doolin where we stay for the next two nights.

Day 2 Walk over the spectacular Gleninagh Mountain to explore several stone forts before descending to Black Head. Wonderful views across Galway Bay.

Day 3 From Doolin we travel to the Cliffs of Moher for a morning walk along the cliff-tops to Hag's Head. Return to Doolin pier to catch ferry to Inishmore, the largest of the Aran Islands. Afternoon walk to Dún Dúchathair, a spectacular cliff-top stone fort. We spend two nights at Kilronan, Inishmore's main town.

Day 4 & 5 Walk westwards along the spine of Inishmore to visit Dún Aonghusa, Ireland's most famous stone fort. On the last day we explore the eastern end of the island, before departing the island by ferry.

DINGLE Guided Mini Break


Day 1 The first two nights are spent in Dingle, a bustling fishing port. The town is an ideal base for discovering the sights near the tip of the peninsula and an excellent centre for live traditional music.

Day 2 Wonderful walk around the famous Slea Head, the richest areas of archaeology in the region. Enjoy the fantastic views from Mount Eagle on the way, with the Blasket Island in all their majesty before you. Overnight/Dinner Dingle.

Day 3 & 4 We cross the shoulder of Mount Brandon, arriving at Cloghane - our base for the second stage of the tour. From here we discover the archaeological riches of the Loch an Dúin valley.

Day 5 Our final outing is a beach walk along the sweeping coastline of Brandon Bay. After our picnic lunch we return to Cloghane for your onward journey.

Southern Islands Guided Mini Break


The "magic" of Island life is brought to life in this Walking Tour, covering the Southern Islands of West Cork, and Roaring Water Bay. Island people have a uniqueness and character which has to be experienced to be appreciated, but its the wealth of history, culture, wildlife, flora and fauna that makes this trip special .... not to mention the stunning and rugged scenery.The island people are waiting to welcome you and show

Day 1. Monday. Arrive to the little fishing village of Baltimore, looking out at the Fastnet Rock, for our first nights accommodation and Evening Meal. A short walk to the Beacons after Dinner, sets the tone for this holiday.

Day 2. Tuesday. After Breakfast we transfer by Ferry to island of Sherkin for a walk on its historical shores where birdlife attracts people from all over the world. Overnight and Dinner on Sherkin.

Day 3. Wednesday. The deserted Hare Island and its abundance of wildlife await us today and after the short ferry ride from Sherkin we enjoy a day exploring this beautiful island.Ferry transfer to Cape Clear for our Overnight and Evening Dinner.

Day 4. Thursday. A full days walking on Cape Clear, with its vast depth of history, archaeology, culture, music and wildlife awaits us. Views West to Mizen Head and South to the Fastnet Rock make this day a memorable experience. Overnight and Evening Dinner on Cape Clear Island.

Day 5. Friday. After Breakfast we say goodbye to Island life and take a leisurely trip around the remaining Islands of Roaring Water Bay and with luck will get a song or two from the singing Ferryman as we sail back to seaside village of Schull for our farewell and departure.

Our Guided Walking Holidays are a truly different experience, with people from a variety of countries, joining together with the same common interest: to enjoy walking in this wonderful island of IRELAND. Groups are made of 6-14 individually booked people and are escorted by one of our excellent Irish guides who ensures the smooth running of your holiday from start to finish. Your guide will also have a wealth of knowledge about the area through which you walk each day and on life in Ireland-both past and present.

The ambience created with a guided group is fantastic and whether you are on your own or with friends, the international mix always proves a tremendous success, and all go home with wonderful experiences and stories not to mention the newly made and everlasting friendships.

Each walking day we hike I 2-22KM/8- 13 Miles and the maximum height is 600 Metres/2000 Feet. All of the mini break tours are rates easy.

The evening meal is a particularly relaxing time of our day a time to review the day’s experiences, chat about the walk, get to know each other a little better, while tucking into excellent food in local restaurants, pubsor prepared by your host in our accommodation - wherever the place, the Irish food never disappoints. Afterwards those who have energy to spare can socialize in the usual Irish manner enjoying the hospitality, music and “craic” in the local pubs.
