Day 1 - Arrive Auckland
Welcome to Auckland, New Zealand’s largest city – known as the ‘City of Sails’.

Day 2 - Auckland/ Waitomo/Rotorua
(226 miles) (lunch and dinner included) (optional meal plans begin today) Travel south to Rotorua via the fascinating Waitomo Caves where you will enjoy lunch. Experience a guided tour of the famous Glowworm Grotto and an underground boat ride. Continue on via Lake Karapiro to Rotorua. In the evening enjoy a Maori Hangi (feast) and Concert.

Day 3 - Rotorua Sightseeing/Christchurch
(airfare not included) This morning visit Te Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve. Learn about traditional Maori crafts at Te Puia, before traveling to Rainbow Springs and Rainbow Farm Show. This afternoon fly from Rotorua over the majestic Southern Alps to Christchurch, the ‘Garden City’. Perhaps visit the International Antarctic Centre – the ‘must see’ attraction in Christchurch.

Day 4 - Christchurch/ Aoraki - Mount Cook/ Queenstown
(369 miles) Travel south across the Canterbury Plains and through the MacKenzie country via Lake Tekapo where you can view the Church of the Good Shepherd. Continue on to Aoraki/ Mount Cook National Park and onto Queenstown.

Day 5 - Milford Sound Day Excursion
Travel with Great Sights to Te Anau, gateway to the Fiordland National Park. Join your Milford Sound Red Boat Cruise and explore the wonder of this majestic fiord. Return to Queenstown.

Day 6 - Queenstown
A free day to enjoy the many activities on offer.

Day 7 - Queenstown
